10/5/11 Benitoite Gemstone Update Not only was Denver a good show, I also received a number of Benitoite Gemstones from my cutter. I have posted nine new stones including this 1.05 carat beauty!

8/2/11 The Big Caledonite and Leadhillite Update OK, so it has been a while, I've been out in the field a bunch in the last few months, but now it is time to sell some minerals!After compiling and working on ID's etc, I have finally put a page together to show some of the Caledonite and Leadhillite specimens I have collected over the last couple/few years. You can find them here: Caledonite, etc. In addition to Caledonite and Leadhillite, there is Linarite, Cerussite, Murdochite and the matrix minerals: Oxyplumboromeite (formerly Bindheimite) and Tripuhyite.

3/17/11 Tsumeb Mineral Update Happy St. Patrick's Day! For your viewing pleasure is a lovely green mineral that is part of my Tsumeb page update! I added 15 new specimens that I picked up in Tucson this year.

3/16/11 The first Post Tucson Update - Gemstones! I have started restocking the website with some of my many Tucson finds. The first update is gemstones with updates to the Benitoite Gemstones page, the Rare Gemstones page and the Fine Gemstones page. I have many more new stones, so this is just a taste of what is to come!

2 /16/11 BACK FROM TUCSON!!!!!! I have returned from my annual trip to the desert and for the first time ever, I came back with more stuff than I left with! The buying was very, very good this year and I will be updating the site over the next month or so with mineral specimens and gemstones that I bought while down there.

1/27/11 - 2 /12/11 TUCSON!!!!!! It is that time of year again and I will be set up at the Hotel Tucson City Center, formerly known as the InnSuites, room 244. I will have the best selection of Benitoite specimens I have ever had, as well as some awesome rare gemstones, Karpatite, minerals from the California Blue Mine and worldwide classic mineral specimens. I also will be selling some of the most recently mined specimens from the Oceanview Mine, I just got word that another pocket of quality Kunzite has been hit and I will have material from that pocket.

12/14/10 Big News in Benitoiteville Last week I came to an agreement with former Benitoite Gem Mine owner Buzz Gray to purchase a very large sum of Benitoite and Neptunite specimens. I am reworking them and will be listing some of the better ones as I finish with the prepping. Expect to see the best selection I have ever had at Tucson this year!

Mini Show December 4th in Emeryville I will be doing a mini show on December 4th from 12:00 - 6:00 with Mike Keim from Marin Minerals, Scott Werschky from Miner's Lunchbox and private collector Dan Kennedy (no relation but still a great guy!) at the Woodfin Suites Hotel, 5800 Shellmound Street, Emeryville, CA 94608. I have a number of new acquisitions and will have a bevy of new Benitoite specimens. |

I really appreciate it and am busy getting packages in the mail this week! Now back to business, I just uploaded seven new specimens from the Benitoite Gem Mine . 7/22/10 Special Auction on Mineral-Auctions.com I will be running a Special Auction from 7/23 - 7/28 on Trinity Mineral's Mineral-auctions.com site. The theme of the auction is the San Franciso Fine Mineral Show, which I was a dealer at earlier this month. There is a wide range of material on this austion and there should be something for just about everyone. Here are a couple of examples from this auction:

11/30/08 Massive Updates on the Way! I am back from three months of nearly continuous travel and am ready to post a bunch of new specimens! Check out the site over the next couple of weeks for new Benitoite, Rare Gems and many extremely nice worldwide specimens.! The Travel Channel at The Benitoite Gem Mine On December first and second, the Travel Channel's "Cash and Treasures" crew came out to the Benitoite Gem Mine to shoot an episode that will air next spring. We had a great, albeit very cold time and collected some very nice pieces. I'll post some pictures as I finish etching the specimens. My thanks to Stacy, Kirsten, Luke, Brian and Mario for an awesome weekend! The show premiers April 9th!! I am now a dealer on Mineral-Auctions.com! I have recently been added as a dealer on Trinity Minerals mineral-auctions.com site. Check out the site and look for quality minerals at reasonable prices. Collecting at the Benitoite Gem Mine May 1, 2009 - The Clear Creek Management Area has been closed by the BLM. All collecting in that area is on hold until the area is open. Please check in here and at calstategemmine.com to see updates as they happen The new owner of the Benitoite Gem Mine, Dave Schreiner has opened the mine to the public on a fee basis. I have led several trips up to the mine and have seen several people find both good specimens and valuable facet rough.
